SHERMAN – Centaur Stride Therapeutic Riding Facility will hold its annual Centaur Stride Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 6, at its 63-acre facility at 8488 Jones Road.

Participants can choose between a 1K Fun Run, starting at 1 p.m., or a 5K Fun Run, starting at 1:30 p.m., both set along the facility’s trails. The run is suitable for runners of all ages and experience. Pre-registration online is through Friday at $20 per person. Day-of registration is from noon to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at $25 per person.

The Centaur Stride Fun Run raises money for Centaur Stride, a nonprofit therapeutic and recreational horseback riding facility that provides inclusive services to individuals with and without disabilities. There will be barn tours and demonstrations available and any questions are welcomed.

Proceeds from the event will help cover operational costs, making it possible for Centaur Stride to continue to provide services to people across Chautauqua County and the vicinity.

In addition to the race, there will be a coloring contest. Winners will be drawn randomly from entries and prizes include free lessons at Centaur Stride.
