Westfield Hospital Foundation Board Names Treasurer

WESTFIELD – The Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors has appointed \Daniel K. Hocking of Westfield as its treasurer.
“On behalf of the foundation, I am delighted to have Dan Hocking as the newest treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors,” said Dr. Kathryn S. Bronstein, president of the foundation’s board. “Dan’s diverse expertise, unwavering dedication, and shared commitment to the mission will be instrumental in guiding the Foundation’s efforts through our annual campaign and beyond. I am confident Dan’s contributions along with my fellow board members will inspire meaningful progress and drive transformative changes in the communities we support.”
The son of missionary parents, Hocking was born and raised in Bangui, Central African Republic.
“Together, we will make a lasting impact on the well-being and future of community members we are privileged to serve. It has been a distinct privilege to serve on the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation board for the past several years. My wife, Beth and I profoundly value the Foundation’s vital mission to support the hospital in providing essential care to Westfield and the surrounding communities,” Hocking said. “I am excited and honored to take on this new opportunity to serve as treasurer on the board. I look forward to bringing my experience to this capacity and contributing to the foundation’s crucial financial stewardship. I’m looking forward to continuing collaborating with Patty DiPalma and my esteemed colleagues on the board.”
Christine Adams had been the foundation board treasurer, taking office in September 2020.
“Chris’s level of expertise coupled with her warm personality will be greatly missed,” said Patricia Gaughan DiPalma, foundation executive director. “We were lucky to have her guidance and support for as long as we did.”
