Nico Is NCCR Dog Of Week
Nico
The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Nico, a brand new arrival to the shelter. Originally adopted from NCCR several years ago, his owner passed away and he found himself back where he started from. Nico is a medium-sized mixed breed dog weighing 48 pounds and is full-grown. His breed mix is guessed to include Labrador, but he likely has some other things in his heritage too. He is past the puppy shenanigans stage of life at around 5.5 years old, but he still has plenty of energy and loves to play and go for walks. Nico gets along well with cats and most friendly dogs, and loves people, including children. He is house trained and crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and knows some basic commands. Read more about him and his adoptable friends and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org, or visit the shelter in-person Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m., no appointment needed. The rescue will hold its Dog-Gone Good Yard Sale. Donation collection is from July 12 through July 21, with the sale held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Ju;ly 25-26, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 27.
