FLUVANNA – The Bemus Point/Maple Grove Alumni Association held its annual open house recently with more than 80 people attending.

Larry Hallberg, chairman of the Alumni Committee, talked about the mission of the Alumni Association while Miriam Price (Class of 1944) was honored with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate her 80th class reunion. Association members were able to get a photo of Price with one of the 2024 Alumni Award winners, Sunnhi Suber.

Cherrie Clark, Ellery historian, presented a program about the one room schoolhouses in the area. Many attendees were able to share their stories about their experiences in the one room schoolhouse.

The 2025 open house will be held Saturday, July 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Fluvanna Fire Hall. Reservations are due by June 30. This year the group will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 1964/1965 sports year and all sports through the years.
