NCCR Dog Of Week Is Amber

Amber
Amber arrived at the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue in the spring, rescued after being dumped and abandoned locally. She is a young adult female around 1.5 years old, possibly a lab/bulldog mix, full grown at 50 pounds. Amber is understandably shy with people at first, but she warms up with sweet talk and treats. If you have some patience and show her kindness, she is all yours. Her bouncy excitement and nervousness quickly dissipates and she melts into a happy puddle when she knows it’s time for belly rubs. She has been spayed, microchipped, heartworm/Lyme tested, and vaccinated. She would love to find a family with another friendly dog to give her confidence and show her how good life can be when someone loves you. Read more about Amber and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org, or visit the shelter to meet her and the other available dogs from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, no appointment required.
