Inspire Good Of WNY Announces Summer Activities
MAYVILLE – Upon approval from the village of Mayville, Inspire Good of WNY will be hosting its Saturday evening market for the second year starting Saturday and running through August at the train depot, 16 Water St., Mayville.
The market takes place every week from 4 to 8 p.m. and allows for lakeside access due to the community dock located near the depot.
The market is also expanding in 2025. In 2024 there were a variety of vendors as well as a successful first year car show. This year, though, patrons can look forward to a variety of vendors, the car show returning for the second year, a Chalk the Walk event, Bingo, weekly yard games and live music. The live music will be happening for six of the 13 weeks during the season and are sponsored by the vof Mayville as well as the town of Chautauqua. The schedule and special events are listed below:
– June 7 – opening weekend: vendors and yard games all season.
– June 14 – The Best of Buffalo by Byron food truck, a double-feature live music session – Bill Ward from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by Interstate Daydream from 6 to 8 p.m.
– June 21 – Bingo
– June 28 – Inspire Good Annual Meeting from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Watermark with a chicken barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. and music by The Rustic Ramblers from 4 to 8 p.m.
– July 5 – Chalk the Walk Event for kids and families
– July 12 – Live music with the Midnight Growlers from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
– July 19 – Bingo
– July 26 – Live music with Davis and Eng from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
– August 2 – tentatively scheduled Sand and Ice in August fundraiser for the Mayville Winter Festival
– August 9 – Live music with No Consensus from 5 to 7:30 p.m., second annual classic car show
– August 16 – Bingo
– August 23 – Live music with Campfire Junkie from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
– August 30 – end of season, Labor Day weekend.
Organizers will continue to accept vendors and food trucks throughout the season, with all welcome. Food trucks and vendors need to register in advance so they can be approved and included in the weekly promotions. Those interested can email connectingyou716@gmail.com.
The organizers are once again collaborating with the Chautauqua County Historical Society Museum, which will be open for extended hours during the market, Evergreen Outfitters, which will be located inside the train depot for the summer and surrounding local businesses and organizations in Mayville to help push traffic in all directions.
