Hultquist Foundation Board Members Depart

The Hultquist Foundation has announced the retirement of two tenured directors from its board.

Stephen Wright, the foundation’s president, recently reported on the departure of tenured directors, Thomas I. Flowers and John K. Plumb.

Flowers served as a director of the foundation for fifty years and as its president from 1985 to 2016. Plumb served the foundation for 20 years as a director and vice-president. Wright noted that their collective knowledge of the community and their leadership contributions to the foundation were immeasurable.

Wright reported that the board was further solidified by the recent appointment of three new members and directors: Timothy P. Black, Amy M. Brinkley and Dana A. Lundberg.

“All three were born and raised in the greater Jamestown area, and each possesses a particular knowledge base and skill set critical to the foundation’s business of investment and philanthropy,” Wright said. “We will greatly miss Tom and John but look forward to a new chapter, as we approach our 60th anniversary.”

The Hultquist Foundation was founded on August 27, 1965, by the family of Earl O. Hultquist, a successful Jamestown industrialist, following his death. The foundation awards more than $900,000 annually to eligible 501 (c)(3) organizations throughout southern Chautauqua County.

Starting at $3.50/week.
