Author To Speak At Kiantone Church

Dr. Everett Piper

Author and Dr. Everett Piper will be at the Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kianone Road, on Sunday, June 29, at 11 a.m. delivering a sermon entitled “Truth and Love in a Culture of Pride.”

In the evening, he will be at Koinonia Fellowship, 1427 Peck Settlement Road, Kiantone, at 6:30 p.m. for a patriotic-styled service addressing the subject “Should Christians Engage the Culture Politically?”

Piper served as president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University for 17 years. He’s a contributing columnist for the Washington Times with commentaries on religion, education and leadership appearing coast to coast in national and local media outlets. He’s been a guest on FOX News Special Report, the Glenn Beck Show, the Tucker Carlson Show, the Rubin Report in addition to other national shows.

His book, “Not a Daycare: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth” was cited by NBC News as one of the top 10 news stories of 2015. He received the prestigious Jeane Kirkpatrick Award for Academic Freedom in 2016.

Piper graduated with the Rev. Mel McGinnis at Spring Arbor College.
