Prescott DAR Chapter Installs Officers

Pictured are officers of the Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the New York State DAR: The installation of officers took place with Regent Myra Johnston, Vice Regent Brenda Johnson, Secretary Linda Kuzara. Treasurer Bonnie Larkin, Chaplain Deborah Cenni, Registrar Barbara Pietro, and Historian Lisa Sedlmayer.
The Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution met recently with 27 members present.
The installation of officers took place with Regent Myra Johnston, Vice Regent Brenda Johnson, Secretary Linda Kuzara. Treasurer Bonnie Larkin, Chaplain Deborah Cenni, Registrar Barbara Pietro, and Historian Lisa Sedlmayer.
The opening ritual was led by Johnston and Cenni. The President General’s Report was summarized by Johnston reporting on the activities of the America 250! Celebrations. The National Defender’s Report was read by Larkin on how cats contributed to the armed forces over the years.
Pietro presented completed applications for signatures to send to Washington, D.C. Pietro said she is working with three prospective members.
State Regent Pamela Barrack has fallen and did not visit the group on May 3 as planned. Johnson gave an update on the Lafayette tea to be held on Sunday, June 1, at the Fredonia Grange. Some tickets are still available, contact Johnson at bren011350@yahoo.com.
