Jackie, this week’s Chautauqua County Humane Society Pet of the Week, is the kind of cat who prefers a cozy lap to a wild chase. The world outside can be so fast, but Jackie prefers the slower pace of a good cuddle. She’s not one for grand adventures or daring escapades, but rather, finds her joy in the simple things. A warm patch of sunlight, a soft blanket, a gentle stroke of a hand. Jackie would make a serene companion to bring calm and comfort to one’s life. All animals adopted from CCHS have been spayed or neutered, are up to date for vaccinations, and have a microchip. The Chautauqua County Humane Society is located at 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, open from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
