The Community Music Project’s CMP Chorale and Chautauqua Chamber Singers will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Ss. Peter and Paul Church.
The CMP Chorale is made up of 75 singers from throughout Chautauqua and Warren counties ranging from 17 to 90 years old, including students from Jamestown High School and Southwestern Central School
“It is just wonderful that younger singers want to be a part of a community choir. They bring so much to the group,: said Rebecca Ryan, choir director.
The CMP Chorale and Chautauqua Chamber Singers will be singing a wide variety of works from spiritual, folk, and newly composed choral pieces. The group will be joined by the Franklin High School Madrigal Singers from Franklin, Pa., who just returned from singing at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Conference. They were chosen from more than 70 high schools to perform.
Sunday’s concert is free to the public with a free will offering taken.
