Clymer Announces ‘Pirate Pride’ Students Of Quarter

CLYMER – Clymer Central School officials recently released the school’s “Pirate Pride” students of the third quarter. They are:

Kindergarten through third grades: Coleston Legters, third grade and the son of Jeffry and Melissa Legters. Some of his favorite subjects in school are gym and recess. After school, Coleston likes to play Fortnite with his friends and play outside. His hobbies include playing basketball and football. He is really good at all different types of sports. Coleston shows kindness at home by being respectful and kind to his family. Coleston’s heroes are his mom and dad because they take care of him and help him out everyday. When Coleston grows up, he would like to be a NFL player.

Fourth through sixth grades: McKenna Bartlett, fifth grade and the daughter of Chris and Beth Bartlett. McKenna’s favorite subjects in school are math, chorus and art. After school, McKenna likes to do crafts, read, and play outside. Her hobbies include art and dance. McKenna is really good at being creative. She shows kindness at home by helping around the house and giving hugs. McKenna’s heroes are her parents because they are loving and caring all the time. When McKenna grows up, she wants to be a veterinarian or nurse.

Seventh through ninth grades: Colin Moore, ninth grade and the son of Alana Yaiko. Colin’s school activities include cross-country, track, band, jazz band, FBLA and DJ’s for school events. Colin has accomplished making it to sectionals for cross-country. His hobbies include music including playing the guitar and piano, studying the Bible and Hebrew, running, bike-riding, writing and reading. In the future, Colin is interested in Alfred, Hilbert or Houghton for Bible study and forensic sciences.

10th through 12th grades: Grace Cooke, 10th grade and the daughter of Dave and Heather Cooke. Some of the school activities in which Grace is involved in are cross country, track, Impact and is the sophomore class secretary. Grace has volunteered within the community through youth groups and Footsteps. She has achieved high-honor roll and has been recognized for going to states for cross-country two years in a row. Some of Grace’s hobbies include running, hanging out with friends, reading and snowboarding. When Grace graduates, she plans to attend a Christian college to get a master’s degree in occupational therapy and a minor in Christian ministries.
