ALBANY – State Sen. George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, has been recognized by the state Conservative Party for earning a 100% conservative rating on the party’s 2024 legislative scorecard.
The rating, based on votes cast on 27 bills during the 2024 legislative session, places Borrello among a group of nine senators to achieve a perfect conservative score on the party’s ranking
The annual Conservative Party ratings assess legislators on votes related to economic policy, public safety, government accountability, and individual liberties–issues central to New York’s conservative voters.
“I am honored to receive a 100% conservative rating from the New York state Conservative Party,” Borrello said. “New Yorkers are tired of skyrocketing taxes, rising crime, and government overreach that continues to drive families and businesses out of our state. I have always been committed to standing up for fiscal responsibility, public safety, and the fundamental freedoms of New Yorkers, and I will continue to fight against the radical policies that are making our state unaffordable and unsafe.”
New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar emphasized the importance of these ratings in holding legislators accountable to voters.
“The New York State Conservative Party issues this scorecard annually, so voters know exactly where their legislators stand on key issues,” Kassar said. “With Democrats driving this state to the far-left fringes, it’s crucial to recognize the leaders who are fighting back. Senator Borrello’s 100% rating reflects his unwavering commitment to conservative values and to making New York a place where families and businesses can thrive.”
