MAYVILLE – The Mayville/Chautauqua Lions Club held a Buffalo Bills watch party fundraiser recently at the Mayville VFW Post 8647.
Seventy-four people attended, with various flavors of chicken wings and pizza available along with tailgating snacks and cupcakes while a wide screen television showed the Bills game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
A raffle was held at each quarter and the grand prize, an autographed Tyler Bass cleat, was awarded at the end of the game. Amanda Ross was the winner and other Bills prizes were awarded to Lori DePonceau, Coby Miller, Sandi Newel and Scott Winton. The Lions received $2,000 which was donated to Rural Minds, a local organization dedicated to suicide awareness and prevention.
Among those attending were members of the Jamestown and Frewsburg Lions clubs.
