The Chautauqua County Humane Society recently received a donation from the Heron Farm & Event Center from proceeds raised during the sixth annual Heron Trail Run 5K held in memory of Dave McDonald.

“We are very appreciative that they thought of the animals at the Chautauqua County Humane Society for their donation this year,” said Jane Babinsky, Chautauqua County Humane Society executive director.

“The Heron Trail Run is an annual event held in honor of our dear friend Dave McDonald, who had a passion for running, music, and helping others. Each year, we select a local organization to support with the funds we raise, continuing Dave’s legacy of spreading kindness. This year, we’re proud to support the Humane Society, which does incredible work for our furry friends in need,” said Faith Graham, organizer of the Heron Trail Run.
