The Allegany-Cattaraugus-Chautauqua Fund for Women is launching its year-end fundraising season with a hands-on centerpiece experience in November.
Ariel Cartwright of The Mayberry Jungle in Mayville, a florist and former Fund for Women grantee, will guide participants in creating beautiful Pumpculent (pumpkin/succulent) centerpieces in various sizes.
The Pumpculent centerpiece classes are scheduled for two dates to enable supporters from across the three-county region to choose a date and time. The first will be Nov. 3 at the Mayberry Jungle, 36 S. Erie St., Mayville. The second will be Nov. 17 in the Kenyon Allen room of the Powell Campus Center on the Alfred University campus,
Each location will host three sessions at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., with seating reserved for 20 attendees per session. Tickets may be purchased online at www.accffw.org/fundraiser.
Participants may choose between $40 and $60 make-your-own centerpiece experience packages. The Pumpculent experience is made possible with sponsorship by Maple City Financial Services, Walker Business and Staffing Services Inc., and The Mayberry Jungle.
All proceeds go directly to the Fund for Women’s grant-giving program, benefitting women seeking financial assistance for long-term financial health. Since 2018, the ACC FFW has awarded more than $17,000 in grants to women across the three counties.
