Dr. Amber Shay Nicholson

The Mozart Club will present a concert at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Marvin House featuring Dr. Amber Shay Nicholson.

Nicholson will present a piano concert featuring works of Scarlatti, Beethoven, Schoenfield, Chopin, Medtner, and Liszt. The public is invited to attend.

Nicholson earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Nelita True, also serving as her studio assistant. She has instructed piano at several colleges, including Allegheny College and the University of Mississippi, and been a featured soloist with several orchestras, including the Eastman Philharmonia and currently the Warren Philharmonic. She has completed four recording projects in recent years. Nicholson specializes in numerous facets of piano, including chamber music, collaborative piano, and healthy piano technique.

The concert will be performed on one of two Steinway grand pianos owned by the club and sited at the Marvin House. Community members are asked to call or text 716-499-5350 if they would like to attend. An offering will be taken to support the club’s piano restoration fund.
