Movies At Reg Lenna Return Wednesday

A scene from the film Summer Camp is pictured.

The nostalgic comedy Summer Camp marks the return of regular movie showings at Reg Lenna Center for The Arts following the installation of new seats.

Summer Camp (Wednesday at 7 p.m.) tells the story of Nora (Diane Keaton), Ginny (Kathy Bates), and Mary (Alfre Woodard), who have been best friends since being inseparable at summer camp. As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly. Each of their lives might not be where they’d imagined, but one thing is for sure — Nora, Ginny, and Mary need each other, and summer camp reminds them why. The film also features Eugene Levy. Summer Camp is rated PG-13 and is 96 minutes long.

The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts has all-new seats in the Palace Theater which were unveiled for the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival. New features include more comfortable cushioning and transfer arms on select seats for patrons with mobility issues. The purchase and installation of the seats was made possible by support from New York State Council on the Arts, Sheldon Foundation, Hultquist Foundation, Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth and Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include the A24 horror film I Saw the TV Glow (Aug. 14 at 7 p.m.), Oscar-nominee June Squibb in the crime-comedy Thelma (Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.), Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 (Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 28 at 2 p.m.), the summer action thriller Twisters (Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.), Susan Sarandon and Bette Midler in the romantic comedy The Fabulous Four (Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.), and Despicable Me 4 (Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 21 with a sensory friendly showing at 2 p.m.)
