On Aug. 8 at 8:52 a.m., Jamestown officers from the First Platoon responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the vicinity of West Third Street near West Fourth Street in these photos. Upon arrival, they encountered a confrontation involving several individuals in a nearby parking lot. During this encounter, it is alleged that Blake A. Perry, 20, attempted to assault an officer before fleeing the scene. Subsequently, the officer employed a taser to detain Perry, leading to his apprehension without further incident. During an altercation, Perry allegedly struck the operator in the face while attempting to flee in the van. Jamestown Police arrived while this was taking place. After being transported to the Jamestown City Jail, Perry was charged with second-degree attempted robbery, third-degree attempted grand larceny, two counts of third-degree assault, resisting arrest, failure to keep right, speed not reasonable or prudent, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
