Jamestown High School 100 Member Club Scholarships Presented

100 Member Club award recipients Abrielle Lyn Monaghan and Carsen Bane, President Cynthia Lind Hanson, and Co-Vice Presidents Kirstie Lind Hanson and Matthew Kindberg.

The 100 Member Club, Jamestown High School’s alumni organization, presented two $4,000 scholarships to standout graduates during the 2024 graduation ceremony in June.

Seniors are voted on by peers and those top candidates are then voted on by faculty. All graduates are encouraged to join 100 Member Club for a lifetime joining fee of $10.

Carsen Bane received the first scholarship as a reflection of his excellence in English and athletics. He played soccer, tennis, football, and wrestled while at JHS, receiving the Football MVP award as well as being the Section VI all-star running back. He is headed to Alfred University to study civil engineering.

The second recipient was Abrielle Lyn Monaghan, who, while at JHS, was involved throughout many leadership clubs (Key Club, Student Council, Honor Society) concurrent with her active roles in A Cappella, musicals, flag football, and tennis. She is continuing her education at University at Buffalo in the fall for Communications.

JHS’s 100 Member Club receives money from generous donors year after year to continue supporting current JHS students through school improvements; donating to the CEO Program’s scholarship fund (through the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation); and, in awarding the two aforementioned scholarships.

For more information or to donate, visit the club’s Facebook page or write to the 100 Member Club, PO Box 704, Jamestown, NY 14702-0704.
