Sadie Is NCCR Dog Of Week

Sadie
The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Sadie, a recent arrival to the shelter who was rescued from an overcrowded shelter that ran out of room for her. She is a 1-year-old spayed female, weighing around 67 pounds. She may fill out a little over the next few months, but is mostly full-grown; she’s all legs, but isn’t very large otherwise. Sadie is a mixed breed dog, and her mix is believed to contain labrador retriever, great dane, maybe even a little hound, but she may also have other breeds in her mix. She is very friendly with people, including children. She also gets along with most other friendly and calm dogs, and cats, too, but doesn’t care for dogs that are very rambunctious and rowdy. Sadie will alert you to visitors with her big bark. As with all young dogs, she will need plenty of daily exercise and playtime, ongoing training, and lots of patience and love to help her become the best dog she can be. To read more about Sadie and apply to adopt online visit www.caninerescue.org, or visit the shelter and meet Sadie and her adoptable friends Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. The rescue is accepting donations for the 12th annual Dog-Gone Good Yard Sale from 1 to 3 p.m. daily through July 21.
