Buster Is NCCR Dog Of Week
The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Buster, a recent arrival at the shelter who was rescued from an overcrowded shelter that had no room for him. He is a 2-year-old neutered male, full-grown at 35 pounds. His breed mix is unknown, but is thought to include some wire terrier or schnauzer. He has a long back but is low to the ground, which means perhaps there is some dachshund in the mix. Buster is very friendly with people, and gets along with most other dogs, too. Despite his often serious face, he is playful and can be quite a clown. He rides well in the car and tolerates bathing without a fuss. Buster also seems to be house trained and keeps his kennel clean. He will require regular brushing and periodic grooming to keep his skin and coat healthy and looking their best. Buster has a moderate amount of energy, and enjoys his daily exercise and walks. He loves playing with toys, too. Read more about Buster and the rest of the dogs at the shelter at www.caninerescue.org, or visit the shelter and meet them at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. No appointment is needed.
