Southwestern Middle School Names Students Of Month For May

Southwestern Middle School officials have named the school’s Students of the Month for May. They are:

Kendal Bouckhuyt, sixth grade and the daughter of Jiliane and Troy Bouckhuyt. Her favorite subject in school is ELA. Kendal belongs to the Southwestern Middle School Choir. Outside of school, she is in charge of concessions for the Gladiators travel baseball organization. In her free time, Kendal enjoys playing volleyball, riding her electric scooter, drawing, and ice skating.

Gia Patti, seventh grade and the daughter of Danielle and Ryan Patti. Gia’s favorite subjects in school are ELA and computer technology. She plays on the modified girls’ basketball team. Outside of school, Gia participates in figure skating and teaches at the learn-to-skate program at the Northwest Arena. When she’s not at school, she likes playing volleyball, taking bike rides, figure skating, hanging out with friends, swimming, and going to the beach.

Hunter Kestler, eighth grade and the son of Nicole and James Kestler. His favorite subjects in school are math, English, and social studies. Hunter plays on the modified baseball and soccer teams at Southwestern. He also belongs to the Quiz Bowl and Trap teams. Outside of school, he participates in the Southwestern Senior Little League. For fun, Hunter enjoys playing video games and spending time with friends.
