The In Crowd will release a new single, “Can’t Find My Keys,” on June 28 across all major streaming platforms. Inspired by everyday experiences, lead singer Angelo Valentino set out to craft a song that resonates with listeners in a unique way. “I wanted to write about something everyone can relate to, but nobody ever writes a song about,” Valentino said. “The title, ‘Can’t Find My Keys’ felt like the perfect place to start.” The result is an upbeat, light-hearted tune featuring catchy lyrics, a memorable melody and a Latin groove. The single showcases the musical prowess of In Crowd’s rhythm section and horns. In tandem with the single release, In Crowd will premiere the official music video on YouTube and social media. The video for “Can’t Find My Keys” is more of a short film, a romantic comedy than a live concert video. The story follows a young man, played by Cameron Curtis, who is getting ready for a blind date. Meanwhile, across town, a woman, played by Shannon Nixon, sits on a stoop, waiting patiently for her gentleman caller. As she waits, a group of young street musicians, played by Eddie Meyer, Matthew Bigelow, Rya Giuffre and Anthony Blakeslee, busks on the adjacent sidewalk. As the young man prepares for his big date, he realizes he can’t find his keys. Growing more and more panicked as he searches throughout his entire house, his date becomes a little impatient and notices a handsome man walking by. The young man frantically searches for his missing keys. Will he find them in time to meet his date, or will she leave with another suitor? You’ll have to watch the video to the end to see if he finds his keys and gets to the girl before she leaves with another man. After “Poquito Mas Cowbell”, released in May, “Can’t Find My Keys” is the second single from In Crowd’s forthcoming album, recorded at Found Recording Studio.
