Explore Pond Life At Audubon June 22

At Audubon Community Nature Center’s “Exploring Pond Life” Saturday morning, June 22, you can take a deep dive into the ponds and search for and learn about the plants and animals that make up this special habitat.

Dress for the weather and be prepared to get a little dirty while exploring pond life at the Audubon Community Nature Center, Saturday, June 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Area residents are invited to join an Audubon educator to explore the ponds at the center and learn about the important roles that wetlands play. Wetlands are a crucial part of the environment. They act as a sponge to prevent flooding, a filter to clean the water, and a nursery where many animals spend their early stages of life.

Audubon’s ponds are part of a complex ecosystem. Those attending will take a deep dive into the ponds and search for and learn about the plants and animals that make up this special habitat.

The fee is $8 for adults, $6 for Nature Center members and children ages 9-15. Reservations are appreciated by calling 716-569-2345 during business hours or going to AudubonCNC.org and clicking through Programs and Events. Walk-ins are welcome.

Starting at $2.99/week.
