Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

WESTFIELD – The Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation has added three new members to its Board of Directors – Molly A. Anderson, Shane H. Lindstrom, and David M. Martin, all of whom were appointed at the foundation’s April 11 meeting.

A lifelong resident of Chautauqua County, Anderson, a Westfield resident, is the elementary principal at Westfield Academy and Central School. She is also a graduate of the State University at Fredonia, where she earned a master’s degree in education, along with advanced certificates in both School District and School Building Leadership after earning a B.A. from Westminster College. She is also involved with the Union Relief Organization of Westfield. Anderson is also mother to her 14-year-old son.

Lindstrom earned a B.S. degree in Physics from SUNY Fredonia and is currently a senior industrial engineer at Cummins Inc., having also worked at Excelco/Newbrook Inc. and The Electric Materials Company. A father, coach, and leader, Lindstrom has volunteered at Westfield Little League as both a board member and a softball coach. Lindstrom, the father of two children, grew up in Ripley and is now a resident of Westfield.

The president and CEO of Larson Design Group, Martin has more than 35 years of experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. Martin is a registered professional engineer, holds a bachelor of science in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University and has completed graduate civil engineering and MBA studies at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University. A new resident of Westfield, Martin formerly served on the Board of Directors at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

“We are thankful to be able to embrace new participants to support our foundation’s mission; individuals who are as eager and willing to give back as their fellow board members,” said Patricia Gaughan DiPalma, executive director of Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation. “They are dedicated to making sure our hospital offers the best services and programs for patients, truly helping make a difference in the lives of so many of our community each day.”

Also serving on the foundation’s board are Christine Adams, CPA, Kathryn Bronstein, Ph.D., Marilyn Hemmer, Daniel Hocking, Diana Holt, Colleen Meeder, Jon Northrop, Shara Post, Dan Smith, Jordan Steves, Rose Van Volkenburg and Ralph Walton, M.D. on the Foundation Board.

“We are thrilled to add three talented, thoughtful, and dynamic directors to our board. They are perfectly poised to help the Foundation achieve our significant fundraising goals for the upcoming year” said WMH Foundation President Dr. Kathryn Bronstein.

Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) (3) leading philanthropic efforts to advance innovative and equitable approaches to community health and wellness. Founded in 1978, the Foundation was established to provide a way for community members to support the work of AHN Westfield Hospital. Over the past 45 years, the generosity of its donors has had an incredible impact on the variety and quality of equipment and services available at the hospital.
