The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen the films Wicked Little Letters and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire this week.

A 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a farcical and occasionally sinister scandal in this riotous mystery comedy. Based on a stranger than fiction true story, Wicked Little Letters (Wednesday at 7 p.m.) follows two neighbors: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley). When Edith and fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues. However, as the town’s women – led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) – begin to investigate the crime themselves, they suspect that something is amiss, and Rose may not be the culprit after all. Wicked Little Letters is rated R and is 100 minutes long.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (Saturday, May 11, at 8 p.m.) the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an army of ghosts that casts a death chill upon the city, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is rated PG-13 and is 116 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies @ The Reg include the Monsterverse film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (Saturday, May 18, at 8 p.m.)

Tickets to Movies at The Reg are $7 for movies and $6 for family films, with an additional $1 theater restoration fee added. Special movie engagements are priced differently. They may be purchased from noon to 5 p.m. Monday and Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at 716-484-7070 and online at reglenna.com.
