Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Inc. announced today a grant award totaling $50,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts to support the organization’s “Entrance and Reception Safety Renovations” project.

The grant is part of a capital project funding announcement by NYSCA, which totals more than $32 million to 102 capital projects across New York state.

“Infinity sought funding from NYSCA’s Capital Projects funding process to restructure and renovate our entryway, reception area, and student waiting room area. The goal is to provide a more secure entry point to further enhance the safety and security for the 1,500 students, ages 3-21 who we serve annually,” said Shane Hawkins, Infinity’s executive director. “The anticipated outcome is a welcoming, yet secure space, prioritizing the safety of our diverse student community in the heart of downtown Jamestown.”
