First Lutheran To Host Church Music On Mother’s Day

First Lutheran Church will be celebrating Church Music Sunday and Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12, at a 4 p.m. concert in the church nave.

Participants will include both the First Lutheran Choir, directed by Brian A. Bogey, organist/choirmaster; and the First Lutheran Good News Ensemble, directed by Karen Linn, as well as several vocal soloists and piano and organ recitalists. Richard Lundquist, trumpeter, will be guest soloist.

Special celebratory music will be provided at the early 9 a.m. Contemporary Service led by the Sacred Fire Team. The 11 a.m. Traditional Service as well will be led by the church choirs and pipe organ. An offering for the installation of the new red oak flooring that will be installed this summer at the chancel area of the nave.

There will be a reception following the concert. The public is welcome to attend.
