Audubon To Hold Story Time Sunday

Add some adventure to a cold winter Sunday: Take the special 2–8 year old(s) in your life to Audubon Community Nature Center’s First Sunday Story Time with Claire Certo on March 3.

The Audubon Community Nature Center will hold its next First Sunday Story Time from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Sunday.

Nature Center doors open at 12:20 p.m. before doors open to the public at 1 p.m.

Adults and children can travel together on a literary adventure with animals through habitats and seasons, discovering new things with every page. The program is free as is Sunday building admission. Come for stories and stay to explore the indoor and outdoor Nature Play Areas, live animals, displays and exhibits. Participation is limited to 15.

Reservations for story time are requested by Saturday. To reserve a space, call the Nature Center during open hours at 716-569-2345 or go to AudubonCNC.org and click through Programs and Events.

Walk-ins are welcome if there is room.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren. Visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, and hike the more than five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.

The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals including the Hellbender exhibit, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
