Area Organizations Host Resource Fair For Teens/Young Adults Interested In Independent Living

The Independent Living Program with Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services, Gustavus Adolphus Accountability & Responsibility (GA A&R IL) Program, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County and the YWCA Jamestown will hold the Game of REAL Life Teen Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the G.A. Family Services Gymnasium located at 210 Gustavus Ave., Jamestown.

Teens and young adults ages 14-21 are invited to attend. The free event is open to all teens and young adults who are living in Chautauqua County and interested in connecting with local organizations that can assist with the transition into adulthood and independent living. Attendees are invited to visit with representatives from area employment agencies, continuing education institutions, housing agencies, banking institutions, transportation companies, healthcare organizations, support systems and more.

Those attending earn basket raffle tickets by visiting and interacting with vendor representatives. There will be the chance to win several prize baskets along with an e-bike, helmet and lock package valued at over $1,200. Agencies will be on hand to perform live life-skill demos. Food and drinks provided.
