SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library invites families to visit the library on Wednesday, Feb. 7, for Homeschool Hour from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The program is an opportunity to socialize and network with others during fun learning activities. This week’s topic is an art theme of watercolors.

The library is a site for the VITA tax preparation service on the following Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Feb. 6, 14 and 21. Appointments are required. Call 211 (prompt 3) for qualifications and to schedule an appointment.

On Monday, Feb. 12, Sundance Kids Farm will present a live animal program with hedgehogs at 6 p.m. Craft kits to create hedgehogs from folding book pages and handprint hedgehog crafts will be available until supplies run out. Books Unlimited book club will meet at the library at 7 p.m. to discuss The Last Flight by Julie Clark.

The library will be closed on Feb. 19 to observe the President’s Day holiday.

The library’s online book club will meet on Monday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. to discuss The Devil’s Element by Dan Egan. Contact the library for the link to participate in the discussion on Zoom. Copies of book club titles will be made available at the library.

The board of trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28. Library board meetings are held at the library on 15 Main St. and are open to the public. Documents to be discussed at board meetings are available on the library’s website 24 hours prior to the meeting. The Child’s Play program for children ages birth to preschool is offered each Wednesday at 1 p.m. Register by calling the library or through the library’s website. The early literacy program includes stories and crafts. February’s topics are:

Feb. 14 – Hugs and Kisses Valentine’s Fun (strawberry valentine)

Feb. 21 – School Readiness: Shapes and Shadows (Shape Owl)
