Harmony Senior Citizens Meet

Harmony Senior Citizens met on Jan. 4 for the first meeting of 2024.

Members enjoyed a New Year celebration complete with gold and silver decorations, shrimp cocktail and non-alcoholic beverages. There were four guests present. Committee members were Roberta Karlson, Marty LaFredo and Karen Hurlburt.

Devotions, dinner prayer and salute to the flag were given by Chaplain Mary LaFredo. A soup and sandwich luncheon was enjoyed by all.

Vice President Laurie Russell recognized Betty Johnson and Don Garfield celebrating birthdays in January. Dottie Enlow reported the next trip is scheduled for May 1 to the Station Theater in Erie. Reservations are required.

Harmony Seniors also met on Feb. 1 at Panama Methodist Church for a Valentine-themed tureen luncheon with 36 members present.

Committee members were Cindy McIntyre, Carol Parnell and Mary Lou Garfield.

Members Cora Delahoy, Cindy McIntyre, Harriet Smith and Sally Hagg celebrated birthdays in February.

The next meeting is scheduled for noon Thursday, March 7, at Panama Methodist Church for a baked potato bar. Members are asked to bring toppings for the potatoes, items for a salad and some desserts.

June Whipple and Ray Wood are on the food committee for March. They will need help from a couple other members.

All area seniors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
