Reg Lenna To Screen Maestro, Napoleon

The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen two films this week.

Maestro (Wednesday at 7 p.m.) is a love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, Maestro at its core is an epic portrayal of family and love. The film is nominated for several Golden Globes awards including Best Motion PIcture, Best Actor/Director (Bradley Cooper) and Best Actress (Carey Mulligan.) Maestro is rated R and is 129 minutes long.

Napoleon (Saturday at 8 p.m.) is an action epic that details the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, played by Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix. Against a backdrop of large-scale filmmaking orchestrated by legendary director Ridley Scott, the film captures Bonaparte’s relentless journey to power through the prism of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine, showcasing his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed. Napoleon is rated R and is 158 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies @ The Reg include Michael Fassbender in Taika Waititi’s sports comedy, Next Goal Wins (Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m.) and Nicolas Cage in the dark fantasy comedy, Dream Scenario (Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m.)

Tickets to Movies at The Reg are $7 for movies and $6 for family films, with an additional $1 theater restoration fee added. Special movie engagements are priced differently.
