Humane Society ‘Season Of Hope’ Drive A Success

Seventy pets went home during the Chautauqua County Humane Society's sixth annual
Season of Hope" campaign in which 57 cats and 13 dogs were adopted.
Brian Papalia, CCHS fundraising and communication director, said that the success of the Season of Hope was made possible by its sponsors, donors, and the Bissell Pet Foundation's "Empty the Shelters" drive that ran through a portion of the campaign.
"It was so wonderful to see these pets go to their new homes," Papalia said. "One story that really stands out is a now three-month-old kitten named Miracle Max who came to the shelter in rough shape on Oct. 6, and thanks to the CCHS Fostering and Clinic programs was able to be adopted as a healthy kitten."
