Audubon Birdseed Sale Deadline Is February 4
Sunday, Feb. 4, is the deadline for ordering bird seed and related treats from Audubon Community Nature Center’s Winter Birdseed Sale.
Area residents can give their feathered friends a mid-winter treat and stock up on their favorite birdseed at a special price at the Audubon Community Nature Center.
With discounts of 10% to 20% on Audubon Community Nature Center’s regular prices, the Winter Birdseed Sale provides savings for bird lovers and support for Audubon’s nature education programs.
Audubon’s unique Conewango Blend was developed to attract favorite and common winter species of the region such as chickadees, cardinals, and titmice. There are also suet cakes for woodpeckers and a mix to attract finches.
Sunday, Feb. 4, is the deadline for ordering by calling 716-569-2345 during business hours or visiting AudubonCNC.org/shop.
Nature Center members receive an additional 10% discount on birdseed purchases.
Pick-up at Audubon is Saturday, Feb. 17, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Orders will be loaded into buyers’ vehicles. Call 716-569-2345 ahead of time if unable to pick up orders on Feb. 17.
Audubon’s Conewango Blend is available year-round in the Blue Heron Gift Shop in the Nature Center and at Ashville General Store, Ashville; the BioDome Project, Jamestown; Ekey Marketplace, Warren; Everydays True Value, Jamestown; Howe’s True Value, Warren; Vitality Natural Health and Wellness Center, Lakewood; Lighthouse Point Grocery, Mayville; Oneida Lumber, ACE Hardware, Warren; and Wegmans in West Ellicott.
Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren. Visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, and hike the more than five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.
The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals including the Hellbender exhibit, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
