Deadline Approaches For Audubon Merch

The Audubon Community Nature Center is having two year-end sales just in time for holiday gift buying.

Purchases support Audubon’s nature education programs and facilities that serve thousands of children and adults each year in Chautauqua and Warren counties. The deadlines for online orders for the Second Chance Shirt Fundraiser and the Nature Calendar Sale are both Sunday, Dec. 3.

Audubon is offering a second chance for “Go with the Flow” river otter shirts and sweatshirts. The 2023 “In My Element” Day Camp shirt is also available in adult and youth sizes.

The otter shirt is navy blue with cream lettering. “In My Element” is dark gray with light blue-green lettering. Designed in-house by Kim Turner, ACNC designer and animal care specialist, both come in unisex t-shirts, women’s cut t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, and hoodies. Youth sizes are available for the t-shirts and hoodies.

Order shirts by going to AudubonCNC.org and clicking through Programs and Events. Pick up shirts on Friday, Dec. 15, or Saturday, Dec. 16, or have them shipped for an additional $8 per order.

Karen Christy, Jamestown Audubon Nature Photography Club president, coordinated with members to find a fitting photo for each month and created a 2024 calendar that benefits ACNC. The calendar is full of photographs that feature natural settings from around the area.

Calendars are available by pre-order only for $20 and are printed locally by MW Graphics. Place orders by going to AudubonCNC.org and clicking through Programs and Events. Pick them up on Friday, Dec. 15, or Saturday, Dec. 16. They can also be mailed for an extra $5 per order.

For help ordering either calendars or shirts, call the Nature Center at 716-569-2345.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren. Visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, and hike the more than five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free.

The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals including the Hellbender exhibit, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
