The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Beau, a recent arrival at the rescue who hopes to find a family to love in time for the holidays. He is a 5-year-old neutered male thought to be a beagle/labrador mix, although he may have some other breeds in his mix. Beau is a very affectionate guy who loves people, including children, and seems to get along with most dogs, too. He might even be house-trained, at least partially, as he keeps his kennel neat and tidy. Beau is well behaved and, so far, has shown very good manners around the shelter. He can be quite vocal when he’s lonely or bored, typical of his beagle nature, so apartment life may not be the right fit for him, and he’d prefer a family that doesn’t have to leave him by himself too often.
