JHS Names Students Of The Month For October

Jamestown High School has named its Students of the Month for October 2023.

Charlotte Baehr is a freshman at Jamestown High School, and is the daughter of Jay and Elizabeth Baehr. Charlotte is an athlete who plays volleyball, runs indoor and outdoor track, and skis in her freetime. She has participated in many musical activities, including, a munchkin in Wizard of Oz, one of the lead roles in Broadway’s Back (a musical made by her music director), she’s been in chorus for almost five years and hopes to be a part of the A Cappella choir next year and sings in her church band. She wishes to earn a scholarship to North Park University where her parents went and become a third grade teacher. Charlotte values being silly, God, community, school, and making everyone feel seen.

Anna Engquist is a sophomore at Jamestown High School and is the daughter of Jeremy and Amy Engquist. Anna is a member of the girls’ varsity soccer and basketball teams. She is also a member of Key Club. In her spare time, Anna enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, and traveling. After graduation, she plans to attend college.

Adam Kubera is a junior at Jamestown High School, and he is the son of Becky and Kyle Kubera. Adam plays the baritone saxophone in Concert Band and has been a member of the arts program since middle school. He participates in both boys varsity baseball and boys varsity football. He also plays travel baseball for the Jamestown Knights and works at Wegmans part-time. After graduation he plans on going into the field of sports.

Daxton Fortner is a senior at Jamestown High School, and is the son of Justin and Jenny Rader. Daxton is treasurer of the JHS School Store. He is also a member of the JHS ski club during the winter months. Outside of school, Daxton works at Burger King in Lakewood and enjoys skateboarding on his off days. After graduation, he plans to go to college for engineering.
