Thule Lodge To Hold Harvest Dinner At Falcon’s Nest Saturday Oct. 28
FALCONER — At the latest Thule Lodge meeting held at the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer, chairman Susan Washington Sipos welcomed all to the meeting.
A roll call of officers was held. Tim Miller is the immediate past chairman. Stephanie Buccola is the new lodge chaplain, taking the place of chaplain Diane K. Shaw, who served for many years. The lodge treasurer is Loretta Smith. John Sipos serves as the lodge secretary and the lodge historian. Donna Johnson is the lodge master of ceremony, and Lynne Meyers is the membership chairman. Bernice Veights is the inner guardsman. Trustees include Karen Johnson, Wayne Nelson, Julie Pickett, Scott Axelson and Norman Carlson. Nancy Jones and Karen Johnson were appointed as the nominating committee for officers for the year 2024.
New members are always welcome.
One of the objectives of the lodge is to visit those who are ill, and four members were reported as being ill. During the meeting, a time of remembrance and silence was held for a member who recently died.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, at 12:30 p.m., the Thule Lodge will hold its annual Harvest dinner at the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer. This is by reservation only, and members can invite their guests. The dinner will include a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and will be catered by the 3C’s catering in Falconer. Reservations are due by Oct. 21. Members will received their invitation in the mail.
The monthly meeting award was presented to Nancy Jones. Following the planning meeting, refreshments were served after chaplain Buccola gave the closing message.
