Phillip Landy Running For Chautauqua County Legislature District 9

Phillip Landy has been endorsed by the county Republican and Conservative parties for the Chautauqua County Legislature’s District 9 seat for the upcoming Nov. 7 election.

A lifelong resident of Jamestown, Landy graduated from Jamestown High School in 1976. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy, serving his country from 1976 to 1993. Landy said he has strong beliefs in protecting America and its beliefs and values of freedom, individualism, privacy and equality, serving until he received an honorable discharge in 1993. Landy was Active Duty/Reserves, 1976-1993.

Landy retired after a 39-year career at SKF USA Inc., located in Falconer. He is presently employed part/time by The Resource Center in the property maintenance department.

If elected, Landy plans to prioritize policies that promote public safety including funding for law enforcement, Chautauqua Lake clean up, economic development to boost local infrastructure, senior housing programs, and tax reform.

Landy was the past recording secretary for UAW Local 338, SKF USA Inc. Landy has served on the board of the Jamestown Area Midget Football for 30 years. He is a board member and vice president of the Allen Park Men’s Club and belongs to the Eagles Club, Celeron Moose Lodge, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Inc., War Vets Recreation Inc., and American Legion.
