Ellery Senior Citizens met on April 14 at St. Timothy’s Lutheran church in Bemus Point. Twenty members were present.

The kitchen committee consisted of Cindy Kircher and Maureen Langebartel. Everyone enjoyed a pot luck luncheon. Monty Hatch said the grace.

Co-presidents Maureen Langebartel and Cindy Kircher opened the meeting. The flag salute and devotion were led by Hatch.

Becky Sheesley was the $2 name tag winner.

Sheesley read the minutes. A thank you note was sent to the town for its donation. Thinking of you cards were sent to injured or ill members. Mary Carpenter gave the finance report.

Birthdays for the month of January include Gene Norris and Cindy Kircher. February birthdays include Jan Stowell, Lois Norris, Anabel Weise and Sandy Klawon. March birthdays include Becky Sheeseley and John Crossley. April birthdays include JoAnne Capizzi and Maurice Stowell.

The winner of the name tag drawing will receive $5. Lois Norris will be our communication director.

The next meeting of the Ellery Senior Citizens will be held on July 14 at noon at Ellery Town Park. A chicken barbecue will be served. Members will be contacted to make reservations for this event. Betty Lou Cheney said the closing prayer.
