Separate Crashes Involving Buggies Reported In Sherman
SHERMAN — Two crashes involving vehicles and Amish buggies were reported on the same town of Sherman road Thursday evening.
Serious injuries were noted in the second crash around 5:45 p.m. at 2203 Clymer Sherman Road, prompting the request for a medical helicopter. The helicopter flew in from Pennsylvania and landed near the scene.
At about 4:20 p.m. Sherman firefighters were first notified of a crash between a pickup truck and buggy in the area of 2311 Clymer Sherman Road. Injuries were reported in the earlier collission as well.
It was not clear by press time how many people have been injured as a result of both accidents.
First responders from several south county fire departments along with Chautauqua County EMS were in Sherman on Thursday. The Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police also responded.
