Deputy Pomfret Town Supervisor Ann Eckman wants your ideas for a new Pomfret logo.
During the June Town Board meeting, Eckman announced that she and Supervisor Dan Pacos decided it would be a good idea to have an official town logo. Nodding pointedly at the OBSERVER, she sought to get the word out that they are open to ideas from anyone.
Eckman suggested that creators do something that showcases the town. She said they should think of Pomfret's agricultural heritage and its history.
"We welcome anyone that is interested to submit something through the town clerk (Allison Vento)," she said. Drawings can be dropped off to Vento at the town office.
Eckman said there will be a prize for the winner, but the prize is yet to be determined.
