City Crews Tow Disabled Vessel

A disabled vessel taking on water off Point Gratiot was safely towed to the city pier on Friday evening. At 8:09 p.m., Dunkirk Fire Department was dispatched and members of the Dunkirk Water Rescue Team were notified. The Dunkirk Fire-Rescue Boat, Marine 1 responded from the harbor while apparatus stood-by near Point Gratiot and at the City Pier. The boat was located with two passengers on board and towed by Marine 1 to the boat launch at the pier. No injuries were reported and all apparatus were in service at 8:45 p.m.
