On Feb. 18, the Jamestown Chapter DAR held its annual Presidents Day luncheon at Christ First United Methodist Church. The speaker was Ellen Bobst from Ambucs. She gave a presentation on their national project of making therapeutic tricycles that are meant to give mobility independence to those who need it. The chapter collected donations by voting for their favorite service hat. All donations were given to Ambucs. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineage to a patriot who aided in the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
