Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet April 6

Thirty-four members of the Mayville Senior Citizens met at the VFW in Mayville on March 16.

Prior to the meal, Mary Carlson said grace. Devotion Chair, Dianne Goodrich, led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer. Vice President, Bonnie Johnson, called the meeting to order.

Darlene Barney gave the secretary’s report. Kathie Sukalac, gave the treasurer’s report. Both reports were accepted as given.

Carlson, stated she was leaving her position in May or June because she was moving out of the area. She has enjoyed being Goodwill Chair very much. She sent out nine birthday cards and one get well card.

Sharon Plucinski stated the tour to Hidden Valley Animal Farm would cost $105 per person instead of $110 as reported earlier. The trip is on June 7 and payment is due May 1.

The kitchen committee, Joyce Ayers, Dolly Gilbert, and Karen Heston were thanked for all their hard work.

New member, Jan Montaque was welcomed. Door prices were won by David Thorp, Sharon Plucinski and Sandy Light. Linda Anderson won the lottery.

Entertainers were Pat Cook and Mike Gerholdt.

The next meeting will be held April 6 with a beef on weck luncheon. Bring a dish to pass. Members are welcome to join the board meeting after lunch and bring any concerns they have to the meeting. Should Chautauqua Lake Central School be closed due to bad weather, the meeting is also canceled.
