Southwestern students of the month of October.

Southwestern Middle School officials have named the school’s Students of the Month for October. They are:

Parker Sauder, sixth grade and the son of Shannon Sauder and the late Jayme Sauder of Lakewood. His favorite subjects are math and science. Parker plays on the Southwestern junior varsity midget football team and is a member of the Southwestern Choir and Quiz Bowl teams. Outside of school, Parker plays on the Storm travel soccer team and attends First Lutheran Church and likes to play football, soccer and basketball. He also likes to camp, travel with family to see new places.

Annalisa Krug, seventh grade and the daughter of Max and Galina Krug of Jamestown. Her favorite subjects are art, science, music, band and orchestra. Annalisa participates on the Southwestern varsity girls swimming and diving team. Outside of school, she is a member of Jamestown Figure Skating Club, Star Swimming and YMCA Tennis. Annalisa also likes to make artwork, practice piano, take classes at Infinity, and learn foreign languages.

Elise Kartesz, eighth grade and the daughter of Kevin and Kara Kartesz of Lakewood. Her favorite subjects are science, gym and art. Elise plays on the Southwestern junior varsity volleyball and softball teams and is a member of Student Council, Junior Honor Society, Ski Club, Impact, Band and Choir. Outside of school, she participates in Jamestown Skating Club and Bemus Point United Methodist Youth Group. She also likes to hang out with friends, deer hunt, and figure skate.
