MHA To Host Speaker Sept. 27
Staff and volunteers at the Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County are welcoming best-selling author Timber Hawkeye to their Jamestown center on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The host of the “Buddhist Boot Camp” podcast is on a tour across the United States to promote his latest book, The Opposite of Namaste.
The evening will begin with a brief description of Hawkeye’s books then move into a group discussion that he will lead.
Sean Jones, a MHA certified peer specialist who has met Hawkeye, said, “Timber prefers to call them discussions because he allows questions and thoughts from the audience, to move the conversation the way the group chooses.”
“Timber has a way of talking about life, the world and recovery that helps you to question the paths you choose in a very mindful, safe and positive way. This is a special event that you do not want to miss,” Jones said.
The Opposite of Namaste, as well as his other books – Buddhist Boot Camp and Faithfully Religionless – will be available to purchase.
To learn more, call Jones at the MHA at (716) 490-1048 or visit Hawkeye’s website BuddhistBootCamp.com.
