Jamestown High School Releases Homecoming Schedule

Jamestown High School will hold its Homecoming Week with a Spirit Week, Pep Rally.

Numerous Homecoming athletic events and activities including the Homecoming Parade and varsity football game are this Friday.

Homecoming Week features Spirit Week at JHS with each day a different theme: Monday — Hawaiian Day, Tuesday — Adam Sandler/Celebrity Day, Wednesday — Pink Day, Thursday — Dynamic Duo Day, Friday — Red and Green Day. Monday, Oct. 4 marks Anti-Bullying Day.

Homecoming Weekend starts with a pep assembly on Friday during block 5 in the McElrath Gymnasium for all students, during which fall sports captains will be recognized. Athletic matches on Thursday include girls volleyball at home at 5 p.m. and girls swimming at 5:30 p.m. at Southwestern Elementary School.

The JHS Homecoming Parade begins at 6 p.m. Friday at Allen Park and ends at Strider Field. Immediately following the parade, the football team will kick-off its homecoming matchup against Niagara Falls at 7 p.m. The Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime with the crowning of the King and Queen. There is no cost to attend the parade or Homecoming game. The 2022 Homecoming Court is expected to be announced later this week.

On Saturday, boys soccer plays at Strider Field at 8 a.m., freshman football at 11 a.m. and girls soccer at 2 p.m. The JHS Homecoming dance will take place on Saturday evening at the Jefferson Middle School gymnasium. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased from Ms. DeJoy in room 222 or Mr. Apthorpe’s room 251 at JHS before or after school beginning. The cost is $5. Students must purchase presale tickets. There will be no tickets sold at the door.
